QR code generator with logo

Make a QR code with your own logo in the middle. Type your text or link, add a logo, pick your colours and download a sharp PNG or an SVG. The code updates as you type.

Error correction

Higher stays readable when the code is damaged or partly covered, but makes it busier.

How it works

  1. Type your text or link

The code appears immediately as you type.

  2. Choose the settings

Size, colours and other options; the preview changes straight away.

  3. Download

As a PNG for a website or a document, or as an SVG for print.

How to make a QR code with a logo

  1. Type the Text or link for your QR code.
  2. Click Choose logo and pick an image. Remove logo takes it away again.
  3. Set the Logo size (10 to 30% of the code) and keep White border around the logo ticked for better contrast.
  4. Pick the Colour and Background, or a transparent background, and the PNG size (256 to 2048 px).
  5. Download with Download PNG, or Download SVG if you want to print it large or edit it.

Keep it scannable

A logo covers part of the code, and a QR code survives that only thanks to error correction. That is why Highest (30%) is the default on this page. The four levels differ in how much damage they repair, and in how much text fits at the largest code size:

Error correction Repairs up to Fits at most
Low (7%) 7% 2,953 bytes
Normal (15%) 15% 2,331 bytes
High (25%) 25% 1,663 bytes
Highest (30%) 30% 1,273 bytes

The logo size is a share of the code's width, including its margin, but what hides squares is the area. With the white border ticked, a logo at the default 22% covers roughly 9 to 11% of the squares, depending on how dense the code is. At 25% it is 11 to 14%, and at the maximum of 30% it is 16 to 20%. Highest (30%) repairs up to 30% damage, so a big logo uses up most of the margin you need for a smudge or a crease. That is why this page suggests staying at or below 25%.

What the tool warns about

  • With a logo and a level other than Highest, a tip appears to switch.
  • Above 25% logo size, you are told to test with a phone.
  • Light modules on a dark background can't be read by many scanners, and two colours that are close together are hard to scan. The status line says so when you pick them.

A shorter text makes a simpler code with bigger squares, which scans more easily. Want the code on a coloured surface and no logo? Use the transparent QR code generator. For a contact card, there is the vCard QR code generator.

Frequently asked questions

How big can the logo be?

The *Logo size* slider runs from 10 to 30% of the code's width and starts at 22%. Stay at or below about 25%. The tool warns "A large logo can make scanning harder; test the code with your phone." when you go over it, and the only real test is scanning the result.

Why does it choose "Highest (30%)" error correction?

A logo hides modules, and error correction is what lets the scanner rebuild them. *Highest (30%)* can repair the most damage. If you pick a lower level with a logo, the status line suggests going back to *Highest (30%)*. The price is a denser code, so keep the text or link short.

Which logo files can I use?

Any image your browser can open, such as PNG, JPG or SVG. With *White border around the logo* ticked, a clear patch is drawn under the logo, so even a logo with see-through parts stays readable. The SVG download contains your logo as an embedded image.

What if my text is too long?

With a logo you are on *Highest (30%)*, which holds the least: 1,273 bytes. Above that the tool says "Too long for a QR code" and shows how many bytes you used and the maximum. Choose a lower level or a shorter text.

Is my logo uploaded?

No. The logo is read in your browser, drawn on the code there and never sent anywhere, so an unreleased brand mark stays private until you share the file.
