WebP to TIFF converter
Convert WebP to TIFF in your browser: your files are never uploaded, there is no limit on how many you convert, and transparency is kept and the result is an uncompressed TIFF. Drop in one WebP or a whole batch and download the TIFF files straight away.

For software that wants TIFF
Print shops, layout programs and image archives often ask for TIFF and cannot open WebP. Converting hands the picture over in the format they expect. If the WebP has transparency, the TIFF gets an alpha channel with the same transparent areas.
Does it improve the quality?
No. A lossy WebP has already thrown away some detail, and the TIFF contains the picture as it shows now. What changes is that the TIFF will not lose more when it is edited and saved again by the print program. If you still have the original, use it for print instead.
Pixel size matters for print
Images from the web are often small. For print at 300 dpi you need about 1200 pixels per 10 cm. Check the size in the file summary: a 600 pixel wide WebP will look soft at 10 cm in print. Enlarge image can scale it up but cannot create detail, so a larger original is the real fix.
What to expect
- File size. The TIFF is not compressed and will be many times larger than the WebP.
- Colour. RGB, with no CMYK conversion. Do that in your layout program if the printer needs it.
- Alternatives. If lossless is all you need, WebP to PNG is far smaller. For a Photoshop file, use WebP to PSD.
Frequently asked questions
Is the TIFF better quality than my WebP?
No, it holds the same picture. It only prevents extra loss when the file is edited and saved again.
Is the transparency kept?
Yes, as an alpha channel, if the WebP has any. Check that your print program reads TIFF transparency.
Why is the TIFF so large?
It is stored without compression, so the size follows the pixel count: about three or four bytes per pixel.
Is my WebP uploaded?
No. The TIFF is made in your browser, so the WebP never leaves your device. Images saved from the web stay as private as any other file on your device. There is no limit on file size or number of files, apart from your device's memory.
