SVG to BMP converter
Convert SVG to BMP in your browser: your files are never uploaded, there is no limit on how many you convert, and the vector is drawn at the size you choose, with a background colour of your choice. Drop in one SVG or a whole batch and download the BMP files straight away.

SVG to BMP
BMP has no transparency; see-through areas get this colour.
SVG is a vector file; choose how large the BMP will be.

Drawn at the size you pick
A BMP is a grid of pixels, so your SVG is rendered first, at the size in the SVG multiplied by the Size setting (1×, 2× or 4×). Pick the multiple so that the BMP has the pixel size your target needs. A 128 × 128 pixel SVG at 4× gives a bitmap of 512 × 512.
Choose the background
BMP cannot store transparency, so the empty parts of the SVG get the colour under Background, which starts at white. Use the colour of the surface where the bitmap will appear, such as the dark grey of a splash screen, to avoid a visible box. The edges of shapes blend into this colour, so set it before converting.
Where a BMP is still needed
Some Windows programs, installer and splash screen designs, embedded displays and old game or modding tools only read bitmaps. For these, an SVG that comes from a modern design tool needs this step. The file is large, since a BMP holds around 3 bytes for each pixel, so do not render bigger than needed.
If the program also accepts PNG, SVG to PNG is a smaller option that can keep transparency. For photos, use JPG to BMP. To check which part of a big drawing ends up in the bitmap, crop image the result.
Frequently asked questions
What size will the BMP be?
The SVG's width and height multiplied by the Size setting. Pick 1×, 2× or 4× to reach the pixel size you need.
What happens to transparent areas?
They are filled with the background colour under the settings, white by default.
Why is my BMP so large?
A BMP stores every pixel without compression, so the file grows with the pixel count: about three bytes per pixel.
Is my SVG uploaded?
No. The BMP is made in your browser, so the SVG never leaves your device. Logos and drawings of unreleased work are not sent anywhere. There is no limit on file size or number of files, apart from your device's memory.
