Example
... --- ... / .... . .-.. .--. -.-.-- becomes SOS HELP!. Words are separated by a slash or by three spaces, and letters by a single space.
What it understands
- Dots and dashes as
.and-, also the typographic·and−. - Letters A to Z, the digits 0 to 9 and common punctuation.
- A slash
/or three spaces as the gap between words.
Unknown codes
When a group of dots and dashes has no meaning, a question mark is put in its place and the note counts how many there were. Check the spacing: a missing space glues two letters into a code that does not exist.

Frequently asked questions
How do I separate letters and words?
A single space between the codes of a letter group, and a `/` or three spaces between words. `.... .. / - .... . .-. .` gives `HI THERE`.
What happens with a code that does not exist?
It shows a question mark in its place and the note counts the unknown codes. `......... --` gives `?M`, because nine dots are not a character.
Which punctuation can it read?
The common marks, such as the comma, full stop, question mark, exclamation mark and @. For example, `..--.. -.-.-- .-.-.-` gives `?!.` and a run of five dashes is the digit 0.
Is the result in capitals?
Yes. Morse has no capitals or small letters, so the translation is in uppercase.
